No, not as a replacement for Clara (at least not just yet), but more as an accompaniment to her. The show seemed to flirt with the idea of introducing a third-wheel to the TARDIS last year, but never really went through with it.

If we're after something really different from Clara's character, and her relationship with the Doctor, then one way of doing that would be to bring another person on-board for an extended run of episodes.

The likes of Frank Skinner's Perkins or Joivan Wade's Rigsy (who will be back for one episode this year) would fit in well and add an extra dynamic to the show, and even just for a few episodes it'd be fun to shake things up a bit. After all, the Ponds showed us there is definitely room for three in the TARDIS.
