Doctor Who: 11 Most Endearing Eleven Moments

8. A Christmas Carol

for christmas carol caption and maybe feature Okay, everyone is just going to have to deal with the fact that this episode had so many endearing moments the episode got called the most endearing moment. First there€™s the Doctor€™s insane choice to enter by fireplace 4 Then there was €œa lie too big€ 5 €œWhat do boys say in the face of danger? Mummy.€ 6 €œEyes on the bowtie: I wear it and I don€™t care€That€™s why it€™s cool.€ 7 €œCompletely impossible. Except at Christmas.€ 8 €œTrust me, it€™s this or go to your room and design a new type of sonic screwdriver€”don€™t make my mistakes. Now GO.€ 9 This episode may be my favorite ever of Doctor Who (I vacillate€”having one favorite is boring!). To me, it€™s almost a relaunch of the Eleventh Doctor, because one year in both Matt Smith and Steven Moffat were completely comfortable with the material, and they were able to turn out a masterpiece like this. This episode gave us a final explanation for the bowtie. It gave us a photograph of the Doctor with Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny. It gave us an explanation for the constant addition of new features to the sonic screwdriver. There€™s method to the Eleventh Doctor€™s madness, and it€™s in this episode that we are treated to a look at his soul and his mind. In leading Kazran halfway out of the dark, the Doctor showed us how he keeps himself halfway out: by marrying Marilyn Monroe.
