7. The Sixth Doctor's Costume
A design so awful that the controllers at the head of the BBC took one look at the show and decided something must be done to kill it. When you actually look at it, however, you can see that there actually is some semblance of order in it. For example, the cuffs of the coat match the pattern on the trousers, as though that would make it ordered and neat. The Waistcoat sort of matches the main tartan of the coat itself, too. It's touches like these which remind you that somebody pored over this costume to make it and that it wasn't just the result of an explosion in a rainbow factory. Probably. Saying that, it's still the worst thing the Doctor Who creators ever produced - far from it, in fact. It's just so disgusting and garish that it completely stands out almost mesmerizingly. There is some suggestion that they were going for something. It's just a shame its the same sort of going for something that gave us weaponised Anthrax.
