Doctor Who: 5 Companions For Peter Capaldi's Doctor

1. Craig Ferguson

Tickets There are not words to express how badly I want this. Peter and Craig were in a band together back in Scotland, they€™re old friends and Craig has stated a desire to be on Doctor Who for a long time. I just really, really want this. As it stands Craig€™s contract with the Late Late Show runs out in 2014, so if Jenna wants out, Craig may be the perfect person to bring on. It would be great to have two actors in the TARDIS who have been long time Whovians. With younger actors, they didn€™t get the chance to watch it as children, which seems to be something that the older generation of Britain really feels they missed out on. Peter and Craig are both Whovians and have been since they were young, and having a Doctor that was a fan of the show that they are now on really makes a difference. We saw it in David Tennant, I€™d love to see it the Doctor AND the companion as well. An older male companion would also be interesting to have instead of a young female. This would be a great dynamic for the show, and also offer some great lines. For those of you who are fans of Johnlock in the Sherlock series, I think it would be funny if we had the same type of moments in a Who context. Having been friends for a long time, which would also show well on television. Both are funny, debonair, mid-fifties men on a television show they€™ve loved since they were children. I don€™t see how anything could go wrong. I've gone all throughout the spectrum with this list, who do you want to see next to Twelve?

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
