Doctor Who: 5 Worst Companion Exits

1. Dodo Chaplet

When the first Doctor started choosing his companions on the basis of their resemblance to the granddaughter he kicked out of the TARDIS, you knew nothing good could come of it. Dodo was so amazing that she could simply change her accent for no reason. But her time as a companion is basically only remembered due to her bizarre parting. You see, in €œThe War Machines€, there's one of those giant, bad computers they used to think would try to take over the world in the future. After the Doctor challenges said computer,as you do, Dodo is somehow taken over by the thing, and begins complaining about a buzzing in her ears. That, Dodo, is the sound of producers deciding you aren't cutting it and writing you out. She meets sailor Ben and swinging 60's gal Polly, does some weird stuff, is un-hypnotized by the Doctors ring, and by episode 4 is promptly forgotten. All we know is the Doctor allowed some guy to take her out to the country to rest for a few days. Which seems caring. But he's not coming back for her, by crack. Now he has two far spiffier assistants, whose accents stay relatively the same throughout their journeys. Dodo was such a lame character, she was later killed off unceremoniously in the novel €œWho Killed Kennedy€. No heartbreak, no tears. Just forgotten. Unlike our beloved Ponds. Any we missed out? Do throw us a comment.

I am me, essentially. I'm a 40-something year old college student, a father, and a photographer. I love Doctor Who and The Beatles equally, no matter how much people try to tell me it's not natural.
