Doctor Who: 8 April Fools' That You Hate Yourself For Believing
3. Doctor Who: The Musical
A Doctor Who musical has been on the cards since the series returned to our screens back in 2005 but a Doctor Who website took it upon themselves to confirm it as part of their April Fool's prank back in 2010. According to their report, the production - tentatively named the 'Doctor Whosical' - would star John Barrowman (because who else would it be?) in role as Captain Jack Harkness who would take the audience on a musical journey through the two years of his life that were stolen from his memories by the Time Agency. Written by Russell T Davies, the show would include original songs by the show's composer Murray Gold as well as reworked covers of iconic hits, such as I Just Can't Get You Out Of My Head, performed by Jack and the Face of Boe as a heartfelt duet, and a mesmerising rendition of Don't Stop Fabricatin'... and you can probably guess what that would involve, can't you? "I got so excited for a second," one disappointed fan noted. Chin up. It might just happen yet...
