Doctor Who: 8 Things We Know About The Next Three Episodes
7. The Caretaker And The Lodger
While its not surprising given that both episodes have been written by Gareth Roberts, Episode 6 The Caretaker will bear a lot of similarities to Series 5s The Lodger (2010), which saw the Doctor attempt to pose a as a normal human in a houseshare to investigate mysterious goings on. Moffat has revealed that the two episodes will have a similar threat level (which they deliberately toned down from Roberts last episode Closing Time), with the Doctor having to take on the robotic Skovox Blitzer (described as one of the deadliest killing machines ever created) while passing as a human. But while The Caretaker will be along the same thematic lines as The Lodger, the big difference will be the Doctor. While the Eleventh Doctor proved to be the perfect housemate, the Twelfth be entirely different; blunt and rude with very little patience. So business as usual. Also, an interesting little side note is that the Doctor has a new gadget for this episode: a watch that turns him invisible. Were guessing hell be using it to get out of work at least once.
