Doctor Who: Every NuWho Companion Ranked

6. Graham O'Brien

Donna Noble Doctor Who
BBC

The worst thing about Graham as a companion is the same problem with the rest of the most recent companions, and that is that there were too many of them, which meant that none got the development or the screen time that they deserved or needed. Graham was the kindest member of the 'Fam', and while he could be hesitant to the ongoing adventure, he wasn't a coward. While you may not have liked his jokes, he was arguably the best part of Team TARDIS these past few series, and that includes The Doctor.

While Graham, like with the other companions of the 'Fam', didn't get a lot of character development, he didn't need that much to begin with. Right from the start, Graham was a kind person, going out of his way to try and make an effort to connect with Ryan, and be supportive for him and the rest of the group. The one major flaw with him as a character, from a growth point of view, was that he wasn't brave, but that was quickly remedied in subsequent episodes.

John Hinch hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
