20. The Morbius Doctors (First Appearance: 1976)
Doctor Who appeared to reveal eight previously unseen incarnations of the Doctor in a notorious moment from the 1976 serial The Brain of Morbius.
Battling the renegade Time Lord Morbius, the Fourth Doctor flashed back through his previous lives, and then began cycling through faces the audience had never seen before.
Each Morbius Doctor was played by a member of the Doctor Who production team, from producer Phillip Hinchcliffe to former floor manager and future director, Graeme Harper.
The intent was to imply that these Doctors came before the First Doctor, though this wouldn't be truly acknowledged onscreen until the 2020 episode The Timeless Children.
