Doctor Who Flux: 10 Huge Questions After Village Of The Angels

7. Have The Angels Erased Dan and Yaz?

One of the more frightening aspects of the Weeping Angels is that their actions are irreversible. Even with a TARDIS, the Doctor is unable to ever go back and see Amy and Rory after they’ve been thrown back into the past. So are Yaz and Dan stuck in the early 1900s?

In the trailer, Dan says that they’ve been living in that time period for three years and wonders if they will ever get back. Fortunately, their situation is quite unique. The village has been quantum extracted into space. This isn’t just a time shift, they’ve been moved in space too. Quite where exactly this is doesn’t matter. It means they can be rescued. The three years might be just how long it takes the TARDIS to complete its reboot.

The Doctor has also been quantum extracted, recalled by the Division, so this method is part of their MO rather than the Angels. Knowing this, somewhat takes away much of the jeopardy of the Doctor’s dramatic transformation. She will no doubt be freed from the Angel once she’s back with the Division.
