Doctor Who: Legend Of The Sea Devils Review - 6 Ups & 7 Downs

1. UP - Next Time…

The cast for the centenary special is looking even more overstuffed than Flux, and sadly, we all know that spinning plates isn’t Chibnall’s strong point, so we don’t have high hopes…

However, it’s difficult to not get even a little excited at the next time teaser here. First up, we have (correct us if we’re wrong), the first TV story to include The Daleks, The Master AND The Cybermen, including the surprising but welcome inclusion of Ashad, who was killed far too quickly in his initial appearance. We’ve also got Vinder, and potentially the rest of the Flux crew: Karvanista, Bel, and quite possibly a tiny new addition. Then, for the Moffat fans, our girl Kate is back, hopefully to impact the plot in some way this time.

The most exciting reveal of this trailer, though, is the return of former companions, Ace and Tegan. A very welcome surprise indeed! Ace in particular is probably the most requested companion to return to the show, and one we’re pumped to see. We just hope these two don’t drown in an overstuffed plot.

Let’s be honest, they probably will…
