Doctor Who NuWho Companions: Where Are They Now?

8. John Barrowman

Where isn't he?! Just kidding, but you can't deny that there's been plenty of John Barrowman to go around - and then some - since he made his Doctor Who debut as the charismatic Captain Jack Harkness back in Series 1. It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 10 whole years since he first left his unique mark on the show's mythology and he's spent the last decade getting up to all kinds of paradoxical promiscuity which has basically involved him screwing anything with a pulse. It's a good job he got his own post watershed spin off, then, which has helped to keep his omnisexual urges at bay. Almost... sort of... not really. Still, Torchwood now has three incredibly successful series to its name (and then there was that fourth season, Miracle Day, which is still dividing fans to this day) and understandably Jack's spin off shenanigans have been keeping his real life ego rather busy since its premiere in 2006. John has still managed to make a name for himself outside of the Whoniverse, though, particularly across the pond where his face has been beaming into households across America - and usually against their will - with guest stints in shows including Desperate Housewives and Scandal. Oh, he's also presented a few things, appeared in some movies, released a couple of autobiographies, recorded an abundance of albums, toured the world and become a reputable regular at sci-fi conventions across the globe. Where does he find the time?! If you want your Barrowman fix, you should probably check out Arrow in which he stars as the mysterious and magnificently malevolent millionaire Malcolm Merlyn. Now try saying that three times when you're drunk!
