Doctor Who: Revived Series 14 Stupidest Idiot Plots... So Far
8. The Doctor Puts Curiosity Over Clara?
When the Doctor invited Clara in a mission to search for a seemingly invisible monster that could kill them at any moment you know for fun It led them to the end of time and the universe where they met Claras descendant. Later, there was banging noise coming from the airlock, which was impossible because there was nothing outside but space. Clara scared, pleaded to the Doctor not to open the air lock and for them to just go inside the TARDIS. The Doctor, who has a curiosity that cannot be quenched, puts Clara and her descendant inside the TARDIS while he would go open the air lock, himself. Was he not thinking things through? If there was a monster he would have been killed. If there wasnt a monster, he still wouldve been killed. The only reason he didnt die was because Claras descendant rescued him before being sucked out of space. But that was not the idiotic part. Whats idiotic was, if he did die which was the most likely scenario he wouldve left Clara and her descendant in the TARDIS, lost in time forever until they died. That would have been on him, and it really made the Twelfth hard to like, especially because the whole mission was obviously too dangerous for Clara in the first place, yet he drag Clara along anyways, even when she was busy. The Doctor would never put his curiosity over his companions. Looking back, there was a time when the Tenth Doctor was looking at a really deep hole. He really wanted to go inside the hole, and for a moment there, we saw this tense moment of him going back and forth if he should go in the hole or not. In the end, he thought that no matter how tempting it was, he decided not to go in, because he got people that needed him at the time, including Rose Tyler. Flash forward know, and he would go to any hole he wants without doing much thought about what would Clara would feel. In fact, nowadays, almost every time he was given a choice of curiosity or his companions safety, his curiosity always wins out. This is why
Once upon a time, Jon ended up in a huge dark room with a giant screen... and he never left.
