Doctor Who Series 10: 7 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Smile

3. What's On The Doctor's Browsing History?

Doctor Who The Zygon Invasion Doctor Osgood

The Doctor tries to confine Bill the TARDIS, encouraging her to chill with a Netflix movie, but not without warning her to keep her nose out of his internet history. Is he hiding something in particular or is this another example of his guardedness? Either way it’s a bit rich coming from a man who’s made a living out of interfering in the affairs of others.

We can dismiss one throwaway line as a joke on the Doctor’s part, but he also said pretty much the same thing to Osgood when she borrowed his sonic sunglasses in series nine’s The Zygon Inversion.

The Doctor could be pouring over anything from the history of the yo-yo to academic papers on quantum mechanics. Or maybe he’s doing the Truman Show thing of trying to piece together a picture of Clara from his fragmented memories. He’s certainly not been whiter than white in the past, with behaviour bordering on the stalker when it comes to past companions like Rose, Amy or Clara. Perhaps he’s been doing some digging into Bill’s own past.
