Dollhouse: Where Are They Now?
1. Joss Whedon
If there's one good thing to come out of Fox cancelling Firefly it's that, when they decided to cancel Dollhouse as well, they were so fearful of fan backlash that they gave it a second season just to finish off properly. Although the story was finished hurriedly, Joss got to tidy up his dolls before going on to other projects.
The first of these was Cabin In The Woods, which took on the horror genre in typical Whedon style. After that, superheroes took up much of the comic book writer's time when he was brought in to helm the Avengers crossover movie and create a way for these disparate characters to work in the same world. Whedon then moved on to Agents Of Shield which was originally meant to tie into the Marvel films. Much maligned for the first seventeen episodes, once the Winter Soldier twist happened that show became something else and only moved from strength to strength.
His next project is The Nevers, which will follow a group of Victorian age women who are "Touched" with special abilities as they fight a shadowy enemy. More superheroes, that will thankfully be airing on HBO, not Fox.
