Each Lead From The Good Place Ranked Worst To Best
2. Michael
Ted Danson is a wonderfully charming actor, with a rich history in TV and a unique look that instantly gave him an otherworldly yet relatable presence as Michael. The architect of The Good Place in more than one way, Michael brought everything together and has significant importance to the show.
To discuss him in detail we have to expose his biggest secrets. The final twist at the culmination of season one that Michael is actually a demon and they are all in the Bad Place felt like the end of the journey at first. But the show would only go from strength to strength afterwards, and a lot of that was thanks to the adventure Michael went on.
Redemption arcs are always fun to see, but watching a literal demon become a good person is certainly one of the biggest changes we've ever witnessed. Michael always felt real and natural in whatever stage he was at. Going from a charming (but fake) angelic figure, to a pure evil demon, and finally a caring and thoughtful person.
His importance to the show combined with his fantastic development and hilarious performance easily make him a highlight.
