Emmys 2016 Nominations: 12 Major Shocks & Snubs

6. Snub - Julianna Marguiles Misses Out

Maybe this one shouldn't come off as much of a surprise, given Marguiles wasn't nominated last year either, and critical reception to The Good Wife has been cooling.

Nevertheless, she's a two-time winner for her role as Alicia Florrick, with another two nominations, and a Emmy favourite dating back to her time on ER. What makes this especially surprising is when you take that and add it to the fact that this was The Good Wife's final season, meaning it was the final chance to award her for the role. It wouldn't have been a shock if the Emmys had wanted to give her a swan-song, even just by way of a nomination, but it's passing by without note, although The Good Wife did pick up a couple of other nominations.
