Emmys 2019: 10 Biggest Shocks And Snubs Of The Night

9. Better Call Saul Goes Home Empty Handed

Speaking of shows that were completely overlooked when it came to the actual awards, AMC's Better Call Saul received no love over the course of the night. The Breaking Bad spin-off continued to shine in its fourth season, delivering some of the best episodes of the show's entire run, but that didn't translate to wins.

The cast, led by Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks, put in some of the year's best performances (even though it's a travesty Rhea Seehorn was again snubbed), while the season's visual style arguably surpassed Breaking Bad. It was obviously good enough to secure five nominations, but not good enough to come out on top in any of those categories.

The show will get a few more chances as it moves into its final couple of years, but it's still a shame to see low-key one of the best shows on TV receive absolutely nothing.
