In a post-apocalyptic future, Bella (Maxie Peterson) does all she can to evade the vicious robotic hounds on her tail. That's it, in a nutshell.
What makes Metalhead work so well is how little of the world or Bella's circumstances are explained, because none of that is important. Metalhead is all about the chase, and the intensity this "run or die" premise creates.
Other Black Mirror episodes have been bolder, and many others have been smarter, but few have been as outright menacing as Metalhead.
