Every Black Mirror Episode Ranked Worst To Best
3. Nosedive
Never has a Black Mirror episode been as socially conscious and scrutinising as season three's masterful Nosedive. With Bryce Dallas Howard giving a career-best performance as eager-to-please Lacie, the episode takes place in a world where everyone is rated by those they come across, and people with a higher rating are given a better life.
After a particularly bad day, Lacie finds her ratings plummeting with her bad luck, as she begins to realise that there's maybe more to life than being high class.
Nosedive is a keenly observed, darkly comical and frequently disturbing outlook on modern society's obsession with altering our behaviour to suit the opinions of those around us.
All Black Mirror episodes mock social media and the way people act for likes and acceptance, but none do it quite as well as Nosedive, an episode which is as funny as it is aggravating, and as cynical as it is transformative.
