Every Episode Of Atlanta Season Two Ranked Worst To Best
5. Episode 11 - Crabs In A Barrell
Robbin' Season is over and thus begins a new phase in Al and Earn's business relationship. And at the beginning of the season finale, it feels like it's all falling to pieces.
Two episodes prior, Earn tried to step up and prove himself only to get physically and emotionally beaten by the bullying Tracy. The scars are still healing, and Earn can sense that Alfred is going to drop him soon. Earn clings to every corner of his life: Van and Lottie are moving back with her parents, Clark County is swiping all their gigs, and his career is in limbo.
The episode title refers to the "if I can't have it, no one can" mentality and with nowhere else to turn, Earn's last ditch attempt to win back Alfred's support ends up working in his favour. Slipping the golden gun into Clark's bin at the airport was not only some closure from the first episode, but it's exactly the kind of initiative Alfred wants to see from his manager.
Al's reminder to Earn that they have to use dirty tactics to succeed is certainly going to play out in future seasons. Earn's a changed man now, and thankfully for the better.
