Every Netflix Marvel Villain Ranked Worst To Best

14. Harold Meachum (Iron Fist Season 1)

Jessica Jones Kilgrave
Netflix

Rounding out the trio of low-ranking Iron Fist villains is Harold Meachum - business partner to Danny Rand's father. Harold's motivations were hardly creative but it was refreshing to see a villain on the show who manipulated Danny's power rather than seeking it for himself. It's chilling to watch as Danny came to trust the man responsible for his parent's death - particularly as Harold showed almost no guilt.

It's Harold's eerie charm that earned him his place as the highest ranking Iron Fist villain. Even at his execution with a blade to his neck, Harold never lost his cocky humour - "Well I wouldn't want to desecrate the integrity of your blade" - which makes him the only Iron Fist villain to have a personality. Kudos to David Wenham.

Harold was responsible for the best thing about Iron Fist's first season and that was the character arc of his son, Ward, in his transition from your most-hated character to your favourite. Harold and Ward's antagonistic relationship was the most entertaining element of Iron Fist, perhaps because it wasn't dragged down by the dreary mythology surrounding the titular character.
