Every Umbrella Academy Episode Ranked Worst To Best
10. The Day That Was (S1E7)
After 'The Day That Never Was' rewound back to the beginning of the episode, the following installment in season one showed a lot of what we had already seen. Once again Luther discovered that he was sent to the Moon for nothing, and while this was robbed of any emotional impact as we had seen it before, the rest of the episode made up for it.
Thanks to the Butterfly Effect of Diego and Allison not being there for Klaus and Luther, we saw completely new sides to the latter two characters. Number 1 in the nightclub was one of the funniest moments of season one, juxtaposed shockingly well against Klaus' own personal struggles at the same time.
Easily the most compelling part of the episode was Klaus' conversations with God, and the soul of his departed father. Granted, the first conversation with God was a little weird, but this suited Klaus' character, and the interaction between the strict father and his stoner son was something that we had wanted to see ever since we learned what Klaus' powers were.
