Every Umbrella Academy Episode Ranked Worst To Best

The finale of season one offered a simply stunning episode, and brought everything that the conclusion of a story should. Every bit of meticulous build up from the previous nine episodes paid off in a satisfying way, as the Umbrella Academy took on one of their own in Vanya.

Her journey through the house, with memories invoked by the pictures on the walls was heartbreaking, but nothing compared to the untimely, powerful death of Pogo. The show simply drove her arc further as a sympathetic villain, the kind that we genuinely care about.

From Klaus finally projecting Ben for his family to see, to the ultimate coming of the apocalypse, this episode featured some of the biggest and best moments of the entire season, accompanied perfectly by the backdrop of Vanya's beautiful music.

Season finales can often be disappointing, but not this one. It was genuinely surprising, with a huge cliffhanger pretty much guaranteeing an audience for the next season. It was an ending that ultimately saw both hero and villain lose, which is something you don't see very often at all.
