2. Episode 14: Nothing Lasts Forever
The Lucifer Writers Room Twitter page posted the script cover for this episode surrounded by paper hearts and a plea to writer Chris Rafferty to "please tell us that doesn’t mean what I think it means…".
Fan theories have gone crazy, with people distraught that this could be alluding to Lucifer and Chloe going their separate ways - the indication being that, although Lucifer is immortal, Chloe will not live forever.
The Lucifer Twitter page has also released a video dedicated to Chloe, which ends with a teaser of her alone in the police station after time unfreezes, asking, "Have you seen Lucifer?"
A long theory posted on Reddit argues that the story could either go towards Lucifer trying to make Chloe immortal - either by using Lilith’s ring or by asking for help from his father. He could also go the other way, by giving up his immortality in order to grow old with Chloe.
The episode could also go down the route of Chloe getting a terminal illness, highlighting her mortality in a dramatic way, and necessitating a quicker decision to be made by Lucifer if he is to remain with her.
