Many fans feel that Sharon Carter has been somewhat short changed by the MCU. With the incredible Agent Carter to live up to, Sharon had a big role in The Winter Soldier before much less screen time in Civil War. She is yet to be seen since 2016.

She is however, confirmed to be making her return in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Though she can be seen kicking ass in the series' Superbowl trailer, she has been largely absent from the marketing material, which has led some fans to think there may be more to her than is to be expected.

In Civil War, Sharon aided Captain America, a fugitive of the American government, which would have made going back to her job at the CIA more than a little bit difficult. What if she got around this obstacle by following in her Aunt Peggy's footsteps and moving to jolly old England?

Assuming The Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place in 2023 after the events of Avengers: Endgame, this gives Sharon a seven year gap since Civil War, which is more than enough time to become a hero/vigilante across the pond. She has the hand to hand combat skills and the heritage for the job, and America isn't the only country in the world that needs protecting.
