Family Guy: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

9. Season 1

Family Guy Brian: Portrait of a Dog
FOX

On September 21st 1999, TV addicts were excited for the debut of a brand-new cartoon that was set to become a classic - Futurama. Being the brainchild of the same creative team as The Simpsons, viewers were psyched for the series.

However, another cartoon that wasn't on anyone's radar aired that same day that generated a lot more buzz called Family Guy. The animation was a little janky, but the impeccable comic-timing and outrageous humour made Seth MacFarlane's little show an instant standout. Even though it was unmistakable Family Guy borrowed the family dynamic from The Simpsons, it incorporated its own unique zaniness to avoid coming across as a shameless copycat.

The first season was only seven episodes long but it was enough to let everyone know Family Guy was something to watch out for.
