5. Characters
This brings me to the characters. Not only are they relateable but they're some of the greatest characters ever put on television. Each one represents a certain sitcom trope and subverts it to great comedic effect. It's the way they interact with each other that shows how excellent they all are. Tracy seems arrogant and dismissive of Kenneth but when Kenneth goes to work for CBS we see he really cares for Kenneth and we see the same with Jenna and Liz's relationship. They often are at odds with each other over various issues (The Rural Juror being my favorite) but in the end they have a long and deep friendship that shouldn't work but somehow does. Then of course there's Liz and Jack. Jack teaches Liz that she can have so much more if she wants it and Liz teaches Jack that work isn't everything and he can be happy outside of work. It's the level of character development between Jack and Liz that made the ending of the show so heartwarming.
