Friends: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One
3. Paul Stevens
His star power might have faded now, but there was a time when Bruce Willis was the man! Friends was known for bolstering some epic celebrity cameos, but Willis' role as Paul Stevens is still considered one of the best they ever had. Thus, you shouldn't be surprised to see him here.
Paul stepped into the show in the sixth season as the father of Elizabeth; the student Ross was dating. Naturally, he took an instant disliking to Ross and acted as a very protective and intimidating figure.
At first, it seemed he'd be a minimal character, as his only connection to the show was to be a source of conflict for Ross/Elizabeth. However, he became so much more as he began a relationship with Rachel, and we all got to know him.
There was plenty to love about this character, as his tough-guy persona was brought down. His goofy mirror dancing and inability to stop crying were big moments that tore down his outer shell, and it was a lot of fun.
