Friends: 10 Reasons Why Ross Is The Worst Person Ever

6. Firing Emma's Nanny For Being "Too Sensitive"

This hasn't aged particularly well, and for obvious reasons. After the birth of Emma, Ross and Rachel decide things would be a lot easier with work (and the fact that they're not together) if they hired a nanny to look after their daughter for a spell whilst they go about their business and keep working.

In their search for the perfect minder, they come across Sandy (Freddie Prinze Jr), who turns out to be a godsend. Not only is he incredibly passionate about his work, but he's smart, caring, and instantly connects with the baby.

But Ross is confused by the whole thing, asking Sandy: "Are you gay?", since he can't get his head around a man being a nanny. When Sandy says he's not, Ross says: "You gotta be at least bi."

Sandy, despite Ross's blatantly offensive comments, is hired, but in time Ross comes to the conclusion that he can't have him in his apartment because he's "too sensitive." He cries, he plays the recorder, and he bakes - things Ross deem an appropriate way to judge someone's skills as a childminder and, in this case, a man.

He fires Sandy, and the poor, perfect nanny is never seen again.
