Friends: 10 Storylines Season 11 Could Have Explored
1. The Friends Struggle To Stay Together
The fact that not all friendships can be easy forever is a sad truth that we all have to face. Life tends to drag people in different directions, and although it hurts, there are often times where you need to start prioritising aspects of your life over what you might want. That's something that an additional season of Friends could have brought to life, but with some decent humour at least.
Thanks to Monica/Chandler moving away, Mike and Phoebe's blooming marriage, and the general growing up each of the characters are doing, it seems inevitable that they'd start to drift apart. Not necessarily losing each other completely, but certainly struggling to hang out as much as they'd like. It sounds sad but could have also been funny if handled right.
Naturally, Joey would be the one to suffer the most in such a storyline, as his lack of a long-term relationship makes him feel like the group member who relies on the others most for companionship, possibly leading to the previously discussed stories about him settling down.
Life always moves forward, and this story could have explored that.
