Friends Cast: Where Are They Now?
10. Aisha Tyler (Charlie)
Aisha Tyler wasn’t hugely memorable in Friends, playing Ross’ colleague then love interest Charlie. It wasn’t that she was a bad character, or that there was anything wrong with her performance, it’s just that she was a side arc in one of the show’s most controversial sagas, and so gets a little swept under the rug.
The conference where she and Ross take things to the next level is also where Joey and Rachel get together. Charlie’s also in the room when Ross is ‘fiiiiiiiine!’, so she’s swallowed up by these bigger moments.
Luckily for her, she’s gone on to bigger and better parts since leaving Friends. These days, she’s probably best known for voicing the straight shooting, dry witted special agent Lana Kane in animated adult comedy, Archer. She’s been in another animated adult comedy too, Netflix’s BoJack Horseman, voicing orca Sextina Aquafina.
Back in live action, Tyler has been in Criminal Minds with fellow Friends alum Paget Brewster, who played Kathy; her career was recently covered in an article on the Community cast.
Tyler’s branched out into hosting too, helming classic improv show Who’s Line Is It Anyway? since 2013 to great success.
