Friends Reunion: 8 Things We Learned

6. The One Where They Were Actually Best Friends

I mean, we already knew this one anyway, right?! But there was further confirmation as to this point during the special, as they spoke about how they bonded when the show was first starting out, and revealed that they used to get together at one of their apartments to watch every episode, giving notes and help to each other as they were watching. Apparently it came about after Cox's time on Seinfeld, where they would do something similar, and she encouraged the other friends to do it. LeBlanc said they were "very supportive", while Aniston said: "At the beginning it was not a hard thing. We really just wanted to hang out with each other, it was not a 'we have to do this, ugh'. We really just fell in love and adored each other instantly." That's exactly the kind of thing fans want to hear about the cast, and something that clearly helped the show develop in that first year.
