Game Of Thones: 10 Ways The Season 5 Finale Sets Up Season 6
6. Tommen Is Kicked Out
Joffrey died. Myrcella died. Now Tommen looks like the most vulnerable boy in Westeros, as Cersei's prophecy looms ever-closer. He's been the weakest king and leader in the entire series. The teenage, young, inexperienced can't really be played, after all, he allowed his utterly gorgeous wife to be thrown into a grimy dungeon by a sack-wearing peasant. If that doesn't scream: 'FOOL!' nothing ever will. It's been a while since a power shift on the Iron Throne, so Tommen's time looks to be running out. It seems like a matter of time before Cersei's worst kept secret about her incestuous relationship comes to light, and if that happens, Tommen will be stripped of the Baratheon name, and indeed the throne itself. That could be a Season 6 game-changer, and could see the end of the Lannisters' power. Only Kevan has grown in stature this season, rising to the small council, so he could play a huge role in steering the ship to safe waters, but right now, it appears to be a lion hunt in Season 6.
