Game Of Thones: 10 Ways The Season 5 Finale Sets Up Season 6

7. King's Landing Chaos Continues

The capital is the most unstable place in the Seven Kingdoms right now, where literally anything could go down. There's an array of characters, and countless stories that could play out, none bigger than the trial of Cersei. Game of Thrones have a good record with trials (Tyrion) and courtroom scenes, so hopefully fans get some intense political discussions in there among the action. Cersei's trial could form a basis for the season to pin other plots to, with Margaery and Loras completely omitted from the Season 5 finale. Their fate must be sealed one way or another, and there's certainly potential for the pair and Cersei to all meet their ends in a Season 6 bloodbath. While all of this chaos rumbles on, there's also the re-animated Mountain back in the fold, so who knows what brutal role he could play. One thing is for certain, he wasn't brought back for no reason.
