Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters We Desperately Want To Survive Season Five

9. Tyrion Lannister

Perhaps no other character is as integral to the success of Game of Thrones as the imp of the Lannister family. The lion€™s share of season four€™s focus was on Tyrion and his accused murdering of King Joffrey €“ one he didn€™t commit - and the murders of his father Tywin and former lover Shae €“ the two he actually did bear responsibility for €“ ended the season on one hell of a cliffhanger. Now he€™s been shepherded half a world away alongside Varys, on a mission to meet Daenerys Targaryen and decide if she€™s worthy of sitting atop the iron throne. While his involvement in the first five episodes has been minimal, the scenes he€™s in are always some of the most enthralling, with Peter Dinklage serving as the anchor to an incredibly strong ensemble cast. Now that Jorah has been inflicted with greyscale while battling the Stone Men, we€™re anxious to see how the two men€™s journey plays out, especially what the Mother of Dragons€™ reaction will be if they actually make it to Meereen. He€™s one of the few heroes €“ in as much as that world has borne any €“ and it€™s unthinkable to imagine the series without his presence.
