1. The Tower Of Joy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqv-UtJQk5Q Not long after Harrenhal, Lyanna was kidnapped by Rhaegar, and held and raped in the Tower of Joy throughout much of Robert's Rebellion. One year later, around the time Rhaegar was away being taught a lesson by Robert, Ned Stark went in search of Lyanna, his sister. He, along with several men, fought off three fearsome members of the Kingsguard, but by the time they reached Lyanna, she was dying in her bed of blood. There are references to this incident scattered throughout the show, but it has never been seen, and fans believe there is far more to the story than what has been told. One of the most popular fan theories goes by the code name 'R + L = J' and it's incredibly compelling. There have been references to Rhaegar's kindness in the show from the likes of Barristan Selmy, another side to the man portrayed as a monster by the Baratheons. This has led some fans to believe that Lyanna willingly ran away with Rhaegar and they consensually conceived a child, leading to her dying in a birthing bed of blood. But who's the child? Well, the theory suggests that Rhaegar + Lyanna = Jon Snow. It's certainly not confirmed, but a part-Targaryen Jon would be an immense prospect if he were to be resurrected. While fans would love to see all of these events take place as flashbacks, there's a feeling that they should hold back and do them as a prequel series or film. Either way, the stories they could spawn would be beyond immense.
