Game Of Thrones: 12 Greatest Anti-Heroes In Westeros
7. Mance Rayder
Mance Rayder is just a man. A realistic man from the Yorkshire Dales who just wants the best for his people, and possibly a cup of tea or seven. Launching a full-scale assault on the Wall wasn't to kill some of your favourite characters, nor was it to challenge for the Iron Throne, it was to save the wildlings from a white walker-related fate worse than death.
He's a strong, proud man but most of all respectful. Mance does everything for the good of his people, and in turn, the good of every single person across the entire world. If the 100,000 wildlings had succeeded in their mission to pass through the Wall, there wouldn't currently be 95,000 brand new wights ready to trash the world. Mance leading the people beyond the Wall would've prevented the inevitable onslaught that will come from the White Walkers, but unfortunately those South of the Wall are still blind to the reality.
