Game Of Thrones: 12 Greatest Anti-Heroes In Westeros

4. Jaime Lannister

Tywin Lannister Game of Thrones
HBO

Jaime Lannister's story arc shares a lot of similarities to that of Theon. He was an arrogant, swaggering presence to begin with, and became the show's first true villain after shoving Bran through the window of the tower at Winterfell. Like Theon, everything changed when he lost his most-valued body part. In Jaime's case, this was his hand, the same hand that earned him the Kingslayer name.

Since that humbling incident, he's redeemed himself immensely, displaying a far different personality to the one that started out in Season 1. Now all he cares about is his family, and his desperate mission to save Myrcella shows how far he was willing to go to ensure her safety even though she didn't know he was her father at the time. Now that Myrcella appears to have been assassinated, how will Jaime respond? We he be wearing the metaphorical mask of the Kingslayer or of a father?
