Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Hated Characters

4. Sansa Stark

It feels a little harsh to have Sansa this high, or even here at all, but the fact is Sansa finished the show as one of the most hated characters in Westeros. There were a number of reasons for her fall from popularity, but they all combined to land her just outside of the top three.

She was always a bit of an outlier for the show. Initially, a silly little girl there to show the folly of childish romance, she was practically designed to be less popular than her witty, tough, rebellious sister Arya.

Certainly she didn’t deserve the horrendous treatment she received at the hands of Joffrey and Ramsay, but any goodwill she may have gotten from that disappeared quite quickly.

Sansa underwent a considerable evolution, growing into Cat while learning from Cersei and Margaery. However, she somehow felt less than the sum of these parts.

The writing for Sansa just wasn’t as sharp as it was for those other characters. Sophie Turner was a little thrown under the bus by it all, and the petty girl fight between her and Dany in Season Eight didn’t help either. A satisfying end to her arc, but a very bumpy road to get there.
