8. Renley Baratheon vs. The Black Mist

As many characters have come to find out in this show, no one can be trusted, especially if they're a power hungry family member who wants to rule Westeros. So basically everyone.

Just ask poor Renley Baratheon, who suffered one of the strangest deaths we've seen so far at the hands of his older brother, Stannis, and his cult leader lover, Melisandre.

At this point in the show, Game of Thrones fans aren't really surprised when something truly weird happens, but we're yet to see anything quite as strange as the shadow creature that silently slid into Renley's quarters and stabbed him through the chest while he stared into the mirror.

Obviously, we know that it came from Stannis and Melisandre having sex, yet we've yet to see it again .There have certainly been some unexplainable kills since the show began, but none quite as creepy as this one. Also, the fact that this shadow creature thing probably could've taken out a few more of Stannis' enemies like Roose Bolton, yet we haven't seen or even heard about it since then is just as weird.
