Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Spectacular Moments From Season 3
5. Game Of Chairs, "Walk of Punishment" The small council meetings are always an entertaining spectacle on "Game of Thrones." Tywin is now Hand of the King and it's clear that he's the man in charge with everything under control. He unsympathetically informs his children, much to their despair, of their impending nuptials. He sends Joffrey "to bed without his supper." But the most memorable small council moment involves no words at all. The first small council meeting we see with Tywin is a literal game of thrones. Baelish, Pycelle and Varys enter first and each quietly take their seat. Cersei arrives and carries a chair to the other side of the table in an effort to flaunt her political position. And Tyrion, obviously annoyed that his hateful father has taken his former position and given him no credit for saving King's Landing, slowly drags his chair to the opposite end of the table. The scene is intended to be comical but it also serves as a metaphor for the show. Everyone is always jockeying for power.
