3. Dany In Meereen

One of the viewers' favourite characters makes another appearance on the list, but with good reason. It's incredible to think that a character named 'Stormborn', known for her pet dragons could ever be associated with a dull storyline. Unfortunately it is repeatedly the case. The show's producers are forced to fill the gap between the excellent Dothraki episodes, when we first were introduced to Daenerys, and saw her grow into a possible Queen of Westeros, and the inevitable conclusion between her and the Lannisters. Unfortunately this conclusion seems a long way off, so for now, we're stuck in Meereen. Meereen is another 'oriental' style town where slaving happens to be a big thing. Weirdly the inhabitants seem to have been reduced to just Hizdhar Zo Loraq, and a spread of generic slave extras. Hizdhar is a peculiarly choice as moral voice of the city, having been a slaver before the city was overthrown, and now suggesting gladiatorial matches be held there to 'preserve tradition'. Unbelievably, Daenerys proposed to Hazdhar last episode - a sign she wants to hang around, and therefore strengthen her position in the city. Shrewd politics but do we really want more of this?
