11. What Next For The Brotherhood And The Hound?

Although it was great to have Sandor Clegane finally return, and the Brotherhood Without Banners make a comeback as well, it was tinged with a sense if disappointment: aside from the act of coming back, and killing some guys with an axe, nothing actually happened in this storyline.

It felt like a bit of a waste, especially when they were left out of the finale (and definitely could've replaced Sam's storyline there), because the Hound, Thoros, and Beric are all thoroughly entertaining and interesting characters, and also because it's not clear where their story is headed.

They mentioned going North, so does that mean they're going to find their way to Winterfell, and a reunion between the Hound and Sansa? Or will they go all the way to the Wall, which would offer Castle Black renewed purpose as a location within the show? Or, and this seems quite likely, are they going to run into a couple of other characters, namely a red woman, and a young girl out for vengeance?
