7. Barristan Selmy

Barristan Selmy is the modern day Alec Guiness' Obi Wan Kenobi. The exile, the mighty sword-fighting skills, the immaculate white hair - the pair were clearly separated at birth. Selmy is an old rockstar of Westeros, a pin-up knight for admiring peasants. He was a feared warrior, though in the show he's fair, with principles and morals, and after being relieved of his duties at the Red Keep was a trusted advisor for Daenerys Targaryen. Of course, that all had to be written in the past tense because, like any likeable character, he met his doom. But what a heroic exit. Selmy unleashed the knight inside, saved Grey Worm and massacred the Sons of the Harpy before going down in a blaze of glory. He was a true legend, and will be sadly missed going forward.
