Game Of Thrones: 13 Missing Characters Who May Still Have An Important Part To Play

8. Gerold Dayne

darkstar Men call him Darkstar, and he is of the night. A member of the cadet branch of House Dayne, the motivations of Gerold Dayne (who looks like Christopher Walken in a wig in the above image), otherwise known as Darkstar, are somewhat unclear. Having first appeared as a member of Arianne Martell€™s entourage in her attempt to crown Myrcella as the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Darkstar attempted to kill the young princess when the plan was thwarted by Doran Martell and Areo Hotah. He succeeded only in maiming her before evading capture. Now at large, Darkstar is being pursued by Balon Swann of the Kingsguard, who wishes to bring him to justice. The two are both excellent warriors, so some sort of clash is inevitable, but given that neither are POV characters, it remains unclear as to who would witness it. If Dayne was to emerge victorious, he could become part of the Dorne-Targaryen cause (he has purple eyes, which is a Dayne family trait, as well as a Targaryen one) though he could also justifiably turn on Dorne, given that the blame for the plot has been placed solely on him by Myrcella (under Arianne€™s direction).
