Game Of Thrones' 15 Hardest Characters (And How Likely They Are To Survive)
7. Thoros Of Myr
While all we’ve seen of Thoros is some light humour, heavy drinking and the power of resurrection this man was the first one in to slay the kraken at the siege of Pyke. He uses a flaming sword to terrify his enemies, an appropriate weapon for a red priest.
While happening upon Arya, Gendry and Hot Pie, he doesn’t just maintain composure at the sign of interlopers, but shows an easy, natural alertness that comes with years of experience in warfare.
He is another relic of a less treacherous time, but being as canny a judge of character as he is he opted to avoid this dangerous game playing altogether and keep it really simple. So now he lives largely in the Kingswood, protecting the locals from unruly soldiers and other brigands.
The red priest is hardly a killing machine but his guerilla style of peacekeeping makes him a pretty strong candidate for survival. His connection to the Lord Of Light could also be a factor should the worst happen. There are strange things afoot and while Thoros is troubled often by the desperation befalling Westeros, he has some pretty loyal, skilled and even supernatural friends.
No wonder those men are so…merry.
