Game Of Thrones: 7 Reasons Why Ramsay Is More Evil Than King Joffrey

6. He Burnt Down Winterfell

With Winterfell seized by Theon Greyjoy and the Ironborn, Roose Bolton arranges for his bastard to ride there and reclaim it for Robb Stark. The King In The North agrees, on the condition Theon is left alive and given to him, and that the Ironborn are shown mercy. Ramsay does succeed in reclaiming Winterfell, but proceeds to burn it to the ground. He then has all the remaining Ironborn flayed, as opposed to offering them mercy. Obviously word is sent that it was the Ironborn who burnt down the castle, keeping the Boltons deception of loyalty to Robb going all the way until his wedding€ As well as showing his vicious side in the siege, Ramsay also displayed the intelligence that further sets him apart from Joffrey, blowing a horn all night in order to demoralise Theon€™s men, and make them ultimately abandon him. Ramsay orchestrated the Sack of Winterfell; Joffrey couldn't orchestrate a sack of potatoes.
