2. When The Sand Snakes Were On-Screen (Specifically Tyene Sand)
Though the whole Dorne sub-plot of season five is famously terrible, there's one bit in particular that takes the show's dignity to its absolute limits (and then sadly goes beyond them). Yeah, you guessed it, I'm talking about the Sand Snakes, specifically Tyene Sand, the Sand Snake who seems to take a liking to Bronn (if you regard poisoning someone by giving them a boner liking them). How exactly is Tyene Sand too far? What the writer's were trying to do is pretty clear. They were trying to write a character who is edgy, intimidating and can indulge in the show's overt sexuality all in the same breath. They were trying to write a powerful female character, but ended up insulting every female character ever penned by George R.R. Martin. The character was utterly ridiculous, from the shoddy acting to the delivery of quite frankly the worst line on the show (You want a good girl, but you need the bad pussy...seriously?). Tyene Sand exemplified what happens when the show takes creative liberties way, way too far.
