Game Of Thrones: All 26 Characters From Season 1 (Who Aren’t Dead Yet) - Ranked
6. Jon Snow
If you were picking a conventional hero for Game Of Thrones when describing it to an uninitiated non-watcher, you'd probably pick Jon Snow. He's got all the trappings of herodom, having overcome not only the adversity of his low birth, but also being essentially exiled to The Night's Watch and then being straight-up killed. If you can't root for him after that, you've clearly got trust issues.
At times, Jon has been a little one-dimensional (because he's arguably too nice for this world) and he was necessarily a little green for a lot of the early seasons, but he's progressed to a position now where the heavy crown sits on his head well.
Thanks to the revelation of his true parentage, he's now even more interesting, but there is a slight feeling that he's going to be pushed to the side at the outset of season 7, with no real direct enemy until the White Walkers make their final push. Still, even in inactivity he's a good character to hang your heart on.
